Hey Colour Babe, I’m Elyse, the artist behind Elyse Colour. My journey started as a salon receptionist at 14, where I learned the map of salon business, client care, and the artistry of hair. I fell in love with hospitality first, and that passion grew into wanting to become a Hairdresser. By 16 I was a salon assistant, working hands on behind the chair and thats when the magic happened for me. After high school I immediately enrolled in cosmetology school. As someone with long hair, diving deeply into long-layered haircutting was a must for me. I wanted every future client to leave with a perfectly blended, effortless long layer that grows out softly. After experiencing bad haircuts in the past, long layers became my guiding focus in school, shaping what I bring to Elyse Colour today: precision, balance, and a signature lived-in silhouette. Before graduating I was enrolled as an educator at the school to teach new students long hair fundamentals and hands on cutting classes. Earned my license in 2010. Ive spent the last 14 years working behind the chair refining lived-in color, soft, blended long layers, and exceptional client care from Fairfield County to the Shoreline. Now fast forward to the present day, bringing a New York level skill set to a calm, luxurious space. You’ll feel seen, heard, and cared for from your first consultation to your next visit.
